Shannon Kray
Role: Owner/Program Director, Group Fitness, Pilates mat & Reformer Instructor, Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant.
Qualifications: Shannon received her Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree from UBC in 1996. Since then, she has been involved in the health and fitness industry as a Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Leader and Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant. In 2002, Shannon continued her education by studying the Pilates Method. She currently instructs both Pilates mat and Reformer classes.
Special quality: Her passion for assisting others to live a healthy lifestyle and reach their personal wellness goals continues to grow. She opened Balanced Fitness Studio with the desire to create a warm and inviting studio that offers exception instruction in fitness, pilates, yoga and lifestyle coaching.
Carol Loos
Role: Instructor
Qualifications: STOTT PILATES certified instructor
Special quality: Carol has been actively involved in the fitness industry since 1986 teaching a wide variety of classes and instructor workshops in the Lower Mainland.
Carol's focus in the fitness industry has changed immensely in the past few years favouring programs integrating the balance of mind and body. Her prime motivation is helping members make this connection and succeed in their individual fitness goals.
Laurie Romey
Role: Instructor
Qualifications: Yoga instructor
LAURIE has been teaching fitness and dance classes for 20 years. She has lived and worked in Vancouver, Los Angeles and Toronto and has toured Worldwide promoting a fitness T.V. series, the original “20 Minute Workout”. In the last few years Laurie has taught a variety of fitness and yoga classes in Surrey and Langley. She is currently teaching Yoga Stretch at Balanced Fitness on Thursday mornings at 9:30. Her motto is, “Fitness must be fun!” She loves to teach and do Yoga and provides an atmosphere of relaxation while increasing the body’s muscular strength and flexibility.
Dawn Douglas
Role: Instructor
Dawn completed her teacher training at Prana Yoga and Zen Center in 2003. " Yoga has made me strong from the inside out. I no longer will take life for granted and want to be happy here in this moment, and Yoga has given me the tools to help make this come true. I love nature and spending time in it. I enjoy gardening and connecting with Mother Earth. I love to spend time with family and friends and enjoy everyday like it was my last."
